Privacy notice.

This notice explains what personal data we collect on gyldhub.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website only. If we engage with you under a contract, the data handling for that engagement is covered separately in the contract itself.

What we collect, and why
Contact form
When you fill in the form on /contact, we receive the name, email address, short project description, and message you submit. We use that information to reply to you and to evaluate whether we can help. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Art. 6 (1)(f)).
Newsletter
If you subscribe to Field notes, we store your email address so we can send you the newsletter. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link; using it removes your address from the list. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
Form submissions are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile checks that you are a real person and may set a short-lived cookie on your browser as part of that check. It does not track you across sites and we do not use it for advertising. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing automated abuse (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled to understand how the site is used in aggregate — pages viewed, broad geography, referring sources. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or to identify individual visitors. Legal basis: your consent, signalled by continued use of the site after the cookie notice. You can opt out at the source by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Essential storage
We use a small entry in your browser's localStorageto remember that you have dismissed the cookie notice, so we don't show it on every visit. No personal data is stored there.
Who processes the data
Beyond Gyld itself, the following processors act on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc.— bot protection on form submissions (Turnstile).
- Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC— anonymised usage analytics.
- Our hosting and email infrastructure providers — serving the site and delivering newsletter mail.
Some of these providers operate outside the European Economic Area. Transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, supplementary measures from the provider.
How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries— kept while the conversation is active, then for up to 24 months in case you come back to us. After that they are deleted or anonymised.
- Newsletter subscriptions— kept until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics— retained for up to 14 months, then aggregated.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it, or restrict how we use it;
- give you a copy in a portable format;
- stop processing it where we relied on your consent or our legitimate interest.
To exercise any of these rights, email office@gyldhub.com. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).

We'll update this page if what we do changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
